Conference Information

Issues in Political Economy sponsors undergraduate paper sessions at the Eastern Economic Association Annual Meetings. Students will serve as session chairs and discussants, as well as present their work. In the past these sessions have been very exciting and well attended. Urge your students to participate in the IPE student sessions at the EEA and come join us in Philadelphia!

The submission deadline for presentations at the EEA meetings is Jan 15th, 2010 . All proposals must include complete addresses (including email and phone) for the student and faculty sponsor. To submit a presentation email the following information to Andrew Godburn, Editor, at EEA@elon.edu:

  • Full name of student (as you want it to appear in the program)

  • Paper title

  • College/University name

  • Name and email address of faculty sponsor.

In addition:

  • Each student must register for the EEA conference. Click here to pay the special undergraduate registration fee.

  • In the past, we have be able to arrange for students to share hotel rooms to keep costs down. Let us know if we can help.

  • Usually on the first night of the conference (Friday), we also try to organize some sort of reception or dinner for all of the students and their faculty sponsors. Please let us know if you can join us.

  • If you have any day/time constraints, please let us know when you email your submission.

*NOTE: Participation in the EEA sessions is not a requirement for publication in IPE, neither does it qualify your paper for IPE review. To submit your paper for publication to IPE, please refer to Submit a Paper to IPE.
