Meet the Current TAs

Mackenzie Cooke is a junior at Elon University. She is a Human Services Studies major and a Sociology and Leadership Studies minor. She is co-director of Academic Service-Learning at Elon University, Efficiency Chair for Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, a leadership fellow, and a member of the club lacrosse team. This is Mackenzie’s second year as a Life Entrepreneur TA, and she is currently one of two student coordinators. In the past, Mackenzie has also been a coordinator for service days at Elon. Mackenzie is in two honor societies, Phi Eta Sigma and ODK. Mackenzie spent this past fall in Florence, Italy.

Becca Luz is a junior strategic communications major and leadership minor. She took LEP as a first year student and was a peer facilitator (TA) this year. She is also one of the student coordinators for the LEP class. On campus she is a leadership fellow and president of Women's Club Lacrosse. Last fall she studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Her hometown is Acton, MA.

Chelsea Meade is currently a junior at Elon. She is majoring in Business Marketing with minors in Communications, French, and Sociology. She is from Wellesley, Massachusetts where she attended Wellesley High School and graduated with high honors. Her biggest strength would be her encouraging, go-getter attitude which she established through my many years of being a cheerleader. She enjoys making people feel comfortable and pushing them to perform at their highest ability. If someone is in a bad mood, she makes it her goal to get them to cheer up both inside and outside the professional atmosphere. This allows her to work well in groups and, when working alone, translates into a persistent, strong-willed characteristic. She first learned about LEP through and e-mail but she can honestly say it has changed her entire attitude about the future and about herself, which is why when she heard there was an opportunity to be a TA for the class, she had to apply!

Katie Nelsen. 20 years old. International Business Major and Entrepreneurship double major with a minor in Communications. From Budd Lake, New Jersey. President of Phi Alpha Delta Pre Law Program at Elon University, and the junior class representative on the standards board for Alpha Omicron Pi. Loves animals, sailing and hiking. Ultimate career aspirations are to stay in the south, and become an international real estate lawyer.

Brianna Bailey is in her third year of study as a biochemistry major, pursuing a career as a health care professional.  From Greeneville, TN, she loves all outdoor recreation activities, including hiking, camping, skiing, and horse-back riding.  Additionally, she and her family raise sheep and horses on their own scenic farm.  She values the entrepreneurial life and aspires to one day achieve that herself.
