"This program made me feel more comfortable about going to Elon in the fall,
and the friends you make are the best 'Discovery'."

June 25-July 1, 2016

Discovery is a week-long adventure in the outdoors that will enable you to discover new friendships while building your teamwork and leadership skills. The trip is designed for students with very limited camping experience and those who have camped for years. The program begins with familiarizing you with Elon's campus and then moves to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, where new friendships begin and outdoor skills are developed. During Discovery, you will hike Old Rag mountain, a part of the Appalachian Trail, spend a day and a half serving the community of Luray, canoe the white-water of the Shenandoah River and tour local natural attractions.
