High Ropes

The Elon Challenge Course features a high ropes circuit course, ending in a zip line, as well as two stand-alone elements.

Who can participate?

  • The high ropes course offers more of an individual challenge, and should be used by highly developed groups who have already had at least one session on the low ropes course.  Teambuilding is accomplished through cooperation and encouragement.
  • This is a physically demanding experience, so participants need to be in good shape, physically.
  • Our high ropes course is not intended as a recreation event.  While it is a fun adventure, our focus is on group development.  We are not available for birthday parties or recreational events.
  • All participants must sign a waiver of liability.  Participants under the age of 18 must have their form signed by a parent or guardian.

Is it safe?

High ropes elements offer a high degree of percieved risk because they are up in the trees, but in actuality these elements are safer than low ropes elements.  Participants receive a thorough orientation and training session at the beginning of their high ropes experience.  We provide all necessary equipment, including harnesses, helmets, and ropes.  Our high ropes facilitators have been through a rigorous, professional training course and maintain certification through the Association for Challenge Course Technology.
