Phase II: Collaboration

Collaboration

Phase II of the Isabella Cannon Leadership Program centers students' attention on COLLABORATION. Leadership is a process that inevitably links people to one another. The most effective leaders have developed skills that allow them to bring diverse people together for the common good.

Students in Phase II will learn to create win/win partnerships, seek first to understand, develop synergy within groups, appreciate diversity, effectively influence others, communicate successfully, build consensus and manage conflict.

The successful participant will:

  • Participate in a Leadership Laboratory project
  • Participate in leadership discussions with faculty and staff
  • Hold a leadership role
  • Attend a "How To Lead" retreat
  • Attend six leadership workshops
  • Attend a teamwork seminar.
