Roadmap: Introduction

The purpose of the First-Year Roadmap is to guide you on a structured journey through your first-year of college.  You will be asked to take personal responsibility for your growth and development in your first-year.  Academics, Wholeness, Professional Pursuit, Citizenship, and Interpersonal Skills are important areas to consider when defining your goals for your time at Elon and beyond.  In the First-Year Roadmap, each area is defined and provides examples for goal-setting.  Working with your Elon 101 instructor, you should develop 3-5 personal goals for each area, detail how youwill achieve these goals, in what timeframe, identify partners in pursuit of goals, and reflect on achievement.  This roadmap is a fluid process which should be revisited regularly as you take an active role in your personal development.
