Service Schedule:

9:00 Tradition Service
10:30 Modern Worship

The style of Brookwood's worship experience may be very different than other churches you've been to. It has become very clear in our recent history, what our vision for this church is growing into. We desire to be an "Acts2" church, biblically functioning the way it was meant. This is a community fully devoted to transformational worship, relevant teaching, passionate friendships, spirit-filled prayer, and the list goes on. Our music is progressive, yet honors our heritage and will lead you to an energetic but Spirit-filled time of reflection and worship to God. Pastor Bob's sermons are biblically based, culturally relevant, and full of practical life application. Through drama, multi-media presentations, music, and practical messages, we present the ageless truths of the Bible in a format that's easy to understand, even if you've never been to church. Will I fit in? Here at Brookwood we want you to know that no matter where you are in your spiritual journey, this can be your place to discover an abundant life, rich with great friendships, lots of laughter, times of comfort, and a challenging environment where we strive to live by God's principles set forth in His Holy word. So whether you're investigating the Christian faith for the first time, or if you already have a devoted relationship with Jesus Christ, we are here to help you in your spiritual journey, and to offer you a place that will give you the choice to be involved as you see fit. We hope you'll join us for a weekend worship gathering to see for yourself what we're about.

First Baptist is about family. We want to be a family for you while you are at Elon University. We understand that you will need a place to go and people to turn to, and First Baptist can be that place and those people. We help Elon students get connected with church families for fellowship, support or just information about a good car repair shop. We provide a college and singles class every Sunday at 10 a.m. with a light breakfast, fellowship and study, followed by the church Worship Service at 11 a.m. We also have a yearly fall retreat to the church's mountain home in Ridgecrest, NC. All of these activities help you become a part of our family and form "families" on your own. We welcome you to First Baptist.

MORNINGSTAR BAPTIST CHURCH
419 Cates Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215; 227-3244
Rev. Terry L. Young, Pastor

You are encouraged to explore the many opportunities offered at Morningstar Baptist Church, beginning with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and Worship Service at 11 a.m. "My Sister's Love" is an outreach ministry made up of believing women who desire an intimate relationship with Christ and who through prayer, praise and bible study learn how to handle day-to-day stresses of life. The prerequisite is that you have a desire to grow and mature in God's Word. We believe that when you learn to love yourself, loving others unconditionally becomes easy. The group meets on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. "My Brother's Keeper" is a bonding ministry for men to help them come to terms with their spiritual perseverance and growth by doing the will of God. This group exhorts and encourages men in faith, prayer, obedience and service because it is the men who must set a spiritual standard in the family, in the church and in the community. The group meets Mondays at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There are many other opportunities for you to be involved with Senior Adults, Intercessory Prayer, Hospitality and volunteering within the church community. Call Carl Edmonds at 227-3152 for more information.
