 First-Year Student Housing: Timeline
Important Dates
 
April 20: Letter & Guide to Residence Life sent to all deposit paid students with instructions to access housing application online.
 
May 2 to May 23: Online housing application available
 
July 1: Housing assignments and roommate information available online
 
Important Information
 
Spring Orientations: Students are encouraged to attend spring admissions orientation weekends in order to familiarize themselves with all residential options Elon has to offer. Click here for more information.
 
Online Information: Students and parents may also review housing options through the online information posted about residence halls.
 
Roommates: Housing applications must specify all information regarding a potential roommate. The application allows you to select your preferred roommate by using his or her last name. Applications must match! You do not have to list a roommate preference.
 
Housing Assignments: Are based on the date of the student's enrollment deposit and early decision applicants.

Online Application Directions
Login using Elon username and password.
 
Step One
·         Students will complete roommate preference questionnaire.
·         Students can indicate special medical conditions that require special housing assignments (i.e. special accessibility, etc.) and must send documentation to student disability services. Click here fore more information.
 
Step Two
·         Students will choose six building preferences.
·         Indicate a roommate if desired, student must enter the last name of their preferred roommate and requests must be mutual. 
 
Step Three
·         Students will then select learning communities if they are interested.
 
Step Four
·         Students can indicate interest in being involved with RSA and area governments.
 
Step Five
·         Students will confirm their agreement with residence life values.
 
Step Six
·         Submitting your application is a two step process. First, you must confirm and review the application, THEN you must submit it. 
·         If you do not receive an email at your Elon email account with a PDF of your application, you have not successfully completed your application.
