To Bring or Not to Bring


 

 

Residence Life encourages you to bring items that make your room feel more like home and make campus life more convenient for you.
 
What you should bring from home:
 
·         Extension cords, power strips (the UL approved, heavy duty type)
·         Small refrigerator (two amps or less)
·         Stereo/radio/CD player/TV
·         Hot air popcorn popper, hot pot (with automatic shutoff)
·         Linens (extra-long twin size), towels, blanket, pillow, mattress pad
·         Desk lamp (not halogen), alarm clock, electric fan, small trash can
·         Plasti-Tak, Fun-Tak, Scotch Wallsaver for hanging posters (no double-sided tape please)
·         Hair dryer, curling iron, razors
 
For your health and safety, some items are not allowed in the residence halls.
 
What you should leave at home:
 
·         Microwaves and toaster ovens (except in Danieley Center)
·         Halogen lamps, celing fans, or track lighting
·         Power tools
·         Gas, charcoal or electric grills
·         Candles, incense or fireworks
·         Any open-coil heating appliance
·         Pets (ONLY fish are allowed)
·         Weapons
