Sustainable Living

What is it?

Students who are interested in supporting issues around the environment and educating others about the environment.

Who will live there?

Freshmen and upperclassmen are equally welcome. Anyone interested in improving the environment and learning about sustainable living would be great members of this community.

Residents are expected to make the LC a special place. You should have a positive attitude toward sustainable living and education, contribute to the academic goals of the community, and maintain the cooperative spirit.

Where is it?

The Sustainable Living LC is in Colonnades B, next to the Koury Business Center. Also in the building is the Collective Action and Responsibility LC.

The floor includes:

  • single bedrooms (stand-alone or suites)
  • wireless internet
  • cable TV
  • laundry facilities
  • common room with kitchenette

How much does it cost?

Each room is a single so the cost to live in the house is the price of a single room on campus per semester. The rates for the following academic year are determined during the March Board of Trustees meeting.

Freshmen are required to have 11 meal plan, Sophomores are required to have a 9 and Juniors/Seniors are required to have a 5 meal plan.

How do I apply?

Returning Students:

Returning Students: Contact the community advisor(s) and complete an application during the annual online housing selection process.

Incoming Freshmen: Select YES on the Freshman Online Housing Application and answer the essay question and submit it.
