Faculty teaching undergraduate courses during Winter Term 2014 are invited to apply for grants of up to $300 each to provide evening or weekend activities that enhance the winter term academic experience. Fifteen grants were awarded last year with very favorable responses from participating faculty and students. Examples of past grant awardees can be viewed here.

This initiative emerged from the 2007 Presidential Task Force on Alcohol, Sub-committee on Winter Term. Based on focus groups and surveys with students enrolled in winter term, the sub-committee made several recommendations with particular emphasis on academic events in late afternoons and evenings.
