new blog look

Well after 2 years with the other blog look, I finally updated my home page here. It's a little more "fancy". Let me know if you see any inconsistencies or if it doesn't show up correctly in your browser. One thing that is definitely different is the comment system - for those of you who made comments using the haloscan system I used to use... those comments are gone forever, sadly.

Student Caught In Traffic Rushed to Exam

The 18-year-old student was heading to a university entrance exam in the western city of Hiroshima when his bus hit a trailer-truck ahead of it, slightly injuring four of the 31 bus passengers, police said.

Japanese society values education as a passport to success and wealth. Studying for college entrance exams is taken so seriously that failure sometimes leads to suicide."
