A Shirt Isn't a Prerequisite

Inside Higher Ed :: A Shirt Isn't a Prerequisite - it's about this college student at Chapman University who just quit wearing a shirt. No shirt. Ever. Sometimes he'll wear a coat. Sometimes a vest. But no shirts. He also occasionally paints his chest in colors to match the season or holiday. My favorite part:
The body art prompted administrators to give Authier a psychological evaluation. “They talked to him and found out he’s OK,” said Mary Pall, a Chapman spokeswoman. “He’s just a very creative individual.”

Tomorrow's Professor

Tomorrow's Professor is a mailing list ("listserv") for faculty members.
"The Mailing List seeks to foster a diverse, world-wide teaching and learning ecology among its over 21,000 subscribers at over 600 institutions and organizations in over 108 countries around the world."

So far I've been very impressed with the quality and variety of the postings from this list. I'd love it if it were in blog format rather than a listserv, but I am told this is forthcoming in 2006.
