It’s hard to believe it that summer is gone and it’s time to head back to campus. We are welcoming approximately 1275 new students to campus on Move-In Weekend, August 29-30. Freshmen and transfer students will begin their year off on the right foot by attending Opening Convocation on Saturday morning. Please plan to join us following Convocation around Fonville Fountain for our New Parent Coffee. Hosted by the Parents Council, you will have an opportunity to gather and talk with other families from your geographic region, and pick up information on where to meet your student’s adviser. Parents Council members will be on hand to answer your questions, and there will be information tables where you can learn more about The Elon Society, get your Family Weekend event and football tickets, and order a goody basket to be delivered to your student.

We have a number of wonderful activities planned for the weekend, including some just for grandparents. Be sure to book your hotel room soon…they’re filling up fast! I look forward to welcoming you back home to campus this fall.
