Headline: The End of Identity Theft

Nutshell: The security problems of the Internet will eventually become so pervasive as to require legislation requiring financial institutions to dramatically improve safeguards against identity theft.

Vision: Many of the perceived security problems of the Internet are motivated by weaknesses in the financial system that allow Internet criminals to convert information into cash. Ultimately these problems (e.g. identity theft) will become so pervasive that legislation will be passed requiring financial institutions to implement safeguards.
