Burlington Police Department Administration

Description: Various projects and tasks will be assigned to engage and challenge the student. These are not limited to but will include researching various marketing merchandise to help with the recruitment of potential applicants to the police department. The student will conduct an analysis and evaluation of the current recruitment strategies towards encouraging minorities to apply at the department. Also a study will be conducted of the Department’s 2011 Traffic Stop Report Data. The questions to be answered by this study includes: 1. The initial basis for the traffic stop. 2. The reason for the search being conducted. 3. The reason the officer asked for a consent based search. 4. The basis for arrests that resulted from the traffic stop.
