Description:
Students work in small groups or one-on-one with adults in a Social Model day setting, which provides structured & spontaneous interaction in a safe, community group setting. Services include a variety of activities designed to meet the individual needs/ interests of participants, supporting independence, while providing Caregiver respite and allowing the adult to remain living at home. Students will interact with participants/staff, having the opportunity to learn more about the aging and/or disabled populations and their needs; researching the therapeutic benefits to gain evidenced based data. Students must attend an orientation session and sign a confidentiality statement
