Description: The North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center is a program that makes a difference! We are a PATH Premier Accredited Center located on 28 acres in Orange County, NC. Our staff and many dedicated volunteers work diligently toward the common goal of helping children and adults with special needs through equine assisted activities.

Volunteer Orientation Times: Call for details

Best Times for Volunteers: NCTRC offers classes morning, afternoon, and early evening Monday-Friday. We also have many special events on weekends.

Notes: Volunteer orientation is required. We offer several orientation dates prior to the start of each session. NCTRC offers three sessions per year and summer camps. Class volunteers assist children and adults with disabilities as they receive therapeutic riding instruction or hippotherapy services. Horse experience is welcome but not necessary.
