Description of Desired Service:
Economics of Poverty will introduce students to the measurement and causes of poverty and what is being done to combat poverty. Students will complete an academic project that will help a local community achieve a well-defined goal. For example, students can digitize and analyze data to aid a grant application, create and disseminate informational brochures and conduct cost-benefit analyses.
