Description of Desired Service:
Food production issues of organic and conventional food production will be discussed. Biointensive food production will be emphasized. Biointensive is a millennial old technique used by various civilizations that has been developed to address sustainable food production. It is promoted by many devel-opment NGOs including the Peace Corps. Students will complete 20 hours of direct service in the Sustainable Food Production course. Tentatively scheduled to partner with Loy Farm and Campus Kitchen.
