ACC-Literacy program

Description: We serve adult students age (16-100) Adults struggling to read, adult with disabilities (students with idd), and students looking to get their GED to transition to college or the workplace. Possible times for direct service: 8:30-11:30 or 12:00-3:00 Pm hours 5:00-8:00 or 6:30-9:30 Sat AM 9:00-12:00 We can work with varying schedules. ASL students will learn: 1. Social & economic factors of globalization - displaced workers. 2. Social & economic factors for lack of education & overcoming barriers. 3. Experience hands-on literacy & transformation of lives & community through literacy work. 4. social justice
