Author of “The Method Method: Seven Obsessions that Helped Our Scrappy Start Up Turn an Industry Upside Down,” Adam Lowry is helping to guide a corporate innovator in stylish and sustainable cleaning and home care products. His company, Method, has been ranked #7 on the Inc. 500, and 16 on Fast Company’s list of the 50 Most Innovative Companies in the World

First and foremost an entrepreneur, Lowry believes that business is the greatest vehicle for positive social and environmental change. As co-founder and chief greenskeeper at Method, he focuses on bringing sustainable innovation to product design, sourcing and production, and commercial environmentalism.

While at Elon, Lowry will interact with students in faculty member Scott Kelly’s spring semester entrepreneurship course “Creativity and the Doer/Maker Mindset.” The class offers an introduction to entrepreneurship with emphasis on critical thinking, creativity, opportunity recognition and the ability to take action.

The Liberal Arts Forum is a Student Government Association-sponsored organization at Elon, which brings academic speakers to campus each semester to add to the culture of the curriculum and academic environment.
