Catalog Librarian Shannon Tennant spoke about library instruction at the midwinter American Library Association conference in Chicago on Jan. 31, 2015.

Tennant was selected to give a talk to the Association of College and Research Libraries Technical Services Interest Group. Her presentation focused on the role that technical services librarians can play in library instruction programs. In many libraries, catalogers work completely behind the scenes. Tennant is an active participant in Belk Library’s instruction program and argued that catalogers have unique skills to offer their library colleagues, students, and faculty. She offered suggestions for ways her colleagues can become more involved.
