Professor Thomas Erdmann in the Department of Music had an article published in the March 2015 issue of The International Trumpet Guild Journal.
The article, “Anne King On Improv, Genres, And Technique,” is about Los Angeles based studio, touring and jazz trumpet musician Anne King. Among the artists she has recorded with include Sheena Easton, k.d. Lang, and Take 6. She has played in the live bands for “American Idol,” “America’s Got Talent,” “Whose Line Is It Anyways,” and “The Voice.”
She has appeared on “The Tonight Show” with a number of artists including Rod Stewart and Victoria Williams, and has done many movie soundtracks including “Even Cowgirls Get The Blues.” She has recently been on tour with Guns N’ Roses.
