KCSL: Help in the Clean-up of Staley Creek

The City of Burlington Water Resources Department invites individuals to participate in the Stream Side Clean-up of Staley Creek initiative. The program will take place on April 25.

The City of Burlington Stormwater Division of the Water Resource Department will be hosting a clean-up initiative of Staley Creek and its tributaries. The event will take place on April 25 from 8:00am to noon. This event provides volunteers with the opportunity to make a difference for the environment and to meet new people. The volunteers will meet at the Mayco Bigelow Community Center before departing.

Volunteers will assist in the removal of trash, debris and other items from the stream to improve the water quality. The city will provide snacks, beverages, bags, gloves, and safety vests. Volunteers are encouraged to bring waterproof or old shoes. Please contact Chester Patterson at cpatterson@ci.burlington.nc.us or (336)222-5140 for more information and to volunteer.
