The Elon Club Baseball team had a tough week in mid April losing all four of its games. The week started off last Wednesday night with a 6-3 home loess against NC State despite jumping out to an early lead in the first inning.
Key highlights in the game include Will Flood throwing two scoreless innings while not allowing a hit and Stephen Monick landing a pinch-hit double late in the game.
While a three-game series against rival ECU did not go as well as the team would have hoped, players said there were still some positives to take away from the weekend. Aubrey Wilkerson had a total of five hits in that span and Sam Bonifant threw six innings in game while only giving up two earned runs.
After the tough weekend the team looks to bounce back in another upcoming four-game week as Elon takes on NC State on Wednesday and Wake Forest this weeked.
