Graduate receptions offer seniors a chance to reflect

The one-hour school receptions allowed students to introduce parents to faculty mentors, laugh with friends and celebrate personal transformation.

On their last full day as Elon seniors, students in the university’s four undergraduate schools took some time to mix and mingle with parents, faculty and other graduating students before tomorrow’s Commencement ceremony.

Parents were introduced to favorite professors as students shared hugs and laughs over cookies and lemonade on a picture perfect afternoon.

For many graduates, tomorrow’s ceremony is an accomplishment shared by many within the Elon community – professors, parents, siblings and peers.

As they celebrated those who helped make tomorrow possible, they also reflected on the ways in which they have changed since enrolling as first-year students four years ago.
