Elon University has made available online customized announcements for graduating seniors and their parents to submit to hometown newspapers.
Members of the Class of 2015 and their parents can now download customized news releases for distribution to hometown newspapers that publish information on academic achievements. News releases can also easily be shared through social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.
The university encourages submissions to local newspapers, which often announce college graduations in their community sections.
President’s List and Dean’s List honorees will have similar news releases available for download in the weeks ahead.
Students and parents may contact Holley Berry (berryh@elon.edu) or Eric Townsend (etownsend4@elon.edu) in the Office of University Communications if they need to make corrections to the news release before sending to local newspapers.
NOTE: Students who earned two degrees (i.e., a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science) are encouraged to include their second degree in space reserved for additional information at the bottom of the news release.
