Hal Vincent, a lecturer in Elon University’s School of Communications and the faculty director of Live Oak Communications, has been elected to serve on the board of directors of the American Advertising Federation of the Triangle.

Additionally, Vincent will chair the organization’s education committee, bringing together many educational institutions and initiatives with the Advertising Federation membership to offer programming and support to build the Triangle’s student and young professional advertising community.

“Often, students don’t see the benefit of joining organizations in their area of study or career aspirations. I hope that the programs and engagement with working professionals the AAF Triangle provides will demonstrate those reasons,” said Vincent. “Many early-career and seasoned professionals are just dying to help mentor future leaders in the industry. The AAF Triangle provides that support and pathway.”

The American Advertising Federation, the nation’s oldest national advertising trade association, and the only association representing all facets of the advertising industry, is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and acts as the “Unifying Voice for Advertising.”

Regionally, AAF Triangle works to promote the wellbeing of the Raleigh-area advertising industry, which also includes Apex, Cary, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Durham and Morrisville. To accomplish this mission, the organization offers unique programming and community involvement initiatives for the practitioners who work within this market.
