Student film ‘Narcolepsy’ named ‘Best Psychological Thriller’

Narcolepsy,” a psychological short film produced by Elon University students, was named “Best Psychological Thriller” at the 13th International Student Film Festival Hollywood, a competition for independent films by student filmmakers.

The film, written and directed by Jordan Roman ’15, tells the story of a high school student who has narcolepsy and begins to experience daytime hallucinations that pull from his nightmares. For a full list of “Narcolepsy” cast and crew, see below.

The School of Communications’ faculty awards and competition committee provided a grant that funded the travel for three students to attend the Nov. 14-15 festival. The fund supports student creative projects regarding production, juried entry fees and festival travel.

“Narcolepsy” was first premiered at Elon’s Cinelon Film Festival in spring 2015.
