Organization helps young professionals connect with the community

Alamance HYPE: Helping Young Professional is hosting a launch party April 14.

A new organization is starting in Alamance County to help young professionals get connected and engaged with the community.

Alamance HYPE: Helping Young Professionals, which was developed through a partnership between United Way of Alamance County and the Alamance Chamber, is a community-building and networking group that advances members both professionally and civically, providing networking, volunteer and social opportunities.

The organization’s official launch party is 5:30 to 7:30 April 14 at the Co Operative at 200 N. Main St. in downtown Graham. It’s an opportunity to for conversation and to make new friends over light appetizers and drinks.

Alamance HYPE is committed to helping Alamance County young professionals get connected and engaged with the community because in the end, community engagement benefits everyone. There is no cost to join HYPE, though some events may require a small admission fee to participate or attend.
