Women’s Club Soccer Wins Senior Game

Kat Black scores two goals against High Point University to win game.

On Sunday April 17th, the women's club soccer team took the field for their last game of their spring season. Prior to kickoff, the team honored their nine graduating seniors with flowers and posters, informing fans present about their contributions to the team. Elon's energy was high, and with about 15 minutes left in the half, Danielle Fowler sent a through ball to Kat Black; Kat was then taken down by the goalie, earning and capitalizing on a penalty kick. Second half High Point came back with an early goal, but high pressure from Elon earned Kat another goal, ending the game at 2-1. It was a high pressure, well fought match and a wonderful way to send off EWCS nine seniors, Jackie Atwater, Dre D'Souza, Carly Kasten, Katie Dalton, Grace Rubinger, Anna Vreeland, Emma Gierman, Carolyn Powell, and Bri Moragne.
