Alumni and senior class donors to be recognized at annual Festival of Holiday Lights

Nearly 3,000 alumni and senior class donors will be honored with their name displayed on a luminaria during this year’s holiday celebration on Dec. 1.

All current alumni and senior class donors (since June 1) will have their names on the luminarias that will light the campus the evening of Dec. 1.
For the third consecutive year, Elon will honor the generosity of alumni and senior class donors during the Festival of Holiday Lights celebration. To express gratitude for helping to light the way to success for current Elon students, their names will appear on the luminarias that will light the campus the evening of Dec. 1.

The generosity of Elon’s donors helps make many of the university’s signature educational experiences possible. By supporting the university, alumni are able to ensure today’s students receive the same great education they once did and help strengthen the value of an Elon degree.

All current alumni and senior class donors (since June 1) will be recognized during one of Elons most beloved traditions. Alumni who are also members of The 1889 Society will be further recognized with the society’s symbol proudly displayed by their name on the luminaria.

The final day to make a gift to Elon and be recognized in this way is Nov. 29, which also marks #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. On that day, everyone is invited to share with the world the many reasons for supporting the university by posting a picture with Elon’s Giving Tuesday banner on social media with a caption that includes #ElonLuminary #GivingTuesday.
