Belk librarian co-authors successful LSTA grant for NCICU libraries

The Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant will fund a collaborative libraries project among the North Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities (NCICU) institutions.

Dianne Ford, coordinator of library e-resources and associate librarian, served on a successful grant-writing team to initiate deep collaboration between the NCICU libraries.

The State Library of North Carolina has approved $50,275.64 in federal LSTA grant funds to NCICU for a collaborative libraries project effective July 1, 2017. By expanding and deepening collaboration among library staff members of NCICU libraries, this project will provide planning and learning opportunities that enable libraries to provide exceptional programs, services and resources for our students, faculty, and staff.

The grant-writing team consisted of Kathy Winslow of N.C. Wesleyan, Tiwanna Nevels of St. Augustine’s and Ford.
