Math and Statistics Department celebrates student accomplishments

The department gathered on May 3 to celebrate the accomplishments of its students. 

On Wednesday, May 3, the Elon Mathematics and Statistics Department Gathered to celebrate their students’ accomplishments. 

The celebration dinner opened with a wonderful address by Professor Talitha Washington from Howard University.  Scholarship donor Richard Haworth and this year’s scholarship recipients were recognized.  The recipients were:

Both Pi Mu Epsilon, the Mathematical Honors Society, and Mu Sigma Rho, the Statistical Honors Society, inducted many talented students at this ceremony as well. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics congratulates all of the students for their hard work and looks forward to another productive year in 2017-18.
