Earlier this month, Suzanne Zahner ‘97 was named principal of Abraham Lincoln Elementary School of Kingsport City Schools in Mecklenburg County Schools in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Suzanne Zahner ’97 has been named principal of Abraham Lincoln Elementary in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Zahner received her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Elon before receiving her master’s of education degree, with an emphasis on reading from Johns Hopkins University. Zahner began her career in Baltimore County Public Schools in Maryland where she taught fifth-eight grades focused on reading and reading instruction. In addition, she has served as an assistant principal at Deer Park Middle Magnet School in Maryland and Chatsworth School, an elementary school in northern Baltimore County.
Zahner most recently served as principal of the Spencer School in the Middletown School District in Connecticut, and principal of a K-8 school in Salem, Connecticut.
