Love School of Business partners with Envestnet for wealth management co-curricular program

The Envestnet Institute on Campus program provides connectivity between the finance curriculum and the current asset and wealth management industry.

The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business has partnered with Envestnet to offer the Envestnet Institute on Campus program to Elon students.

Managed by Envestnet, a leading provider of integrated portfolio, practice management and reporting solutions for financial advisors and institutions, the program aims to build a bridge between the university environment and the asset and wealth management solutions industry by training talented students and better positioning them for employment.

Envestnet Institute on Campus teaches foundational knowledge in asset and wealth management through a self-paced eLearning format. Students become proficient in investment solutions, language, acronyms and trends of the industry, as well as more aware of career possibilities within the industry. The program consists of seven classes, optional learning modules and webinars, resume writing and interview skills assistance, and resources for women pursuing a career in wealth management. The content is reviewed and approved by Money Management Institute, the leading voice for global financial services organizations.

Elon’s Department of Finance has 25 scholarships per semester for students to complete the program at no cost. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of the program.

“We hope this program helps our students see a much larger field of potential jobs and career paths,” said Chris Harris, assistant professor of finance. “The Department of Finance’s goal is to help prepare students for a variety of successful careers in the finance field, and we are hopeful this partnership helps to accomplish this.”
