Yeager publishes article on evaluating the usage of electronic serials

Jamane Yeager conducted a study to evaluate electronic usage statistics for Elon University’s Carol Grotnes Belk Library.

Jamane Yeager, electronic access librarian, authored an article “Using EZproxy and Google Analytics to Evaluate Electronic Serials Usage” that was published online in the “Serials Review” journal on Nov. 27.

The article describes Yeager’s research to determine how users access Belk Library’s electronic resources, when and where books are accessed in the online library system, and what types of devices are used to access the library’s website. The study compared data collected from the library website to the statistics provided by serials, eBook, and electronic database vendors to give a more complete picture of how the library’s online resources are used.
