Baker awarded STaR Fellowship

Katie Baker, assistant professor of education, has been awarded a Service, Teaching and Research (STaR) Fellowship through the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators.

Katie Baker, assistant professor of education, has been awarded a Service, Teaching and Research (STaR) Fellowship through the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators.

STaR is a national induction program for early career mathematics educators working at institutions of higher education. The program was initiated through a grant from the National Science Foundation and provides mentorship and support to mathematics teacher educators during their initial career years. The STaR experience provides ongoing development opportunities including a 2018 cohort institute in Park City, Utah and additional cohort meetings at the 2019 annual conference in Orlando, Florida.
