The Phoenix will have five home games in Rhodes Stadium during the upcoming season, with the first against Furman University on Sept. 8.
Coming off last year’s run to the NCAA FCS Playoffs, the Elon University football program has released its game times for its five home games at Rhodes Stadium this upcoming season.
Season tickets for the 2018 season are on sale now and are the only way to guarantee a seat to watch the maroon and gold compete at home this season. Order season tickets online today or contact the Elon Ticket Office at 336-278-6750.
Elon will open the home portion of its schedule with its third meeting against the Furman Paladins in less than 12 months. That game, which will also be part of the Elon Sports Hall of Fame Weekend festivities, will kickoff at 6 p.m. on Sept. 8. Former conference rivals, Elon and Furman played a pair of classic games last year. The Phoenix kicked a late field goal to down the Paladins on the road in the regular season before a blocked point-after attempt was the difference in a Furman win in the NCAA FCS Playoffs at Rhodes Stadium.
Elon closes the month of September at home on the 29th when it hosts New Hampshire at 1:30 p.m. for Family Weekend and its first CAA Football contest of the season at Rhodes Stadium.
Following two weeks on the road, Elon returns to Rhodes Stadium for three straight, as the Phoenix hosts Richmond, Rhode Island and Towson to conclude the home slate. Elon and Richmond will kick off at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 20. Following its bye week, the maroon and gold welcomes Rhode Island for a Homecoming showdown at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 3. The final home game of the regular season will be played at noon on Nov. 10, when Elon hosts Towson.
Times have also been set for all four of Elon’s road conference matchups. The Phoenix will open CAA Football play on Sept. 15. at 6 p.m. at William & Mary. Elon’s road game at defending conference champion James Madison will kick at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 before a 3:30 p.m. game time at Delaware the following week.
Elon closes the regular season on the road on Nov. 17 at noon versus Maine.
