Led by newest NYC chapter board volunteer, Andrew Bronsteen '13, the network looks forward to various service projects this year
A group of New York City Elon alumni on Aug. 19 participated in a cleanup project at the St. Francis Xavier Mission shelter. The shelter provides living quarters, food and resources to help find employment to its residents. The group of alumni volunteers did various activities, which included changing linens, cleaning and organizing the common room, bathrooms, kitchen, and sleeping quarters.
St. Francis Xavier Mission has a long history of service to those in need and seeks to welcome, serve and empower those in the community who are in need of human and material support. Since the 1980s, the Xavier Mission meets needs by providing food, clothing, shelter and life-skills training.
