Susan Anderson selected as a ‘Top 50 Undergraduate Professor’ for 2018

The list is compiled annually by Poets & Quants, a business education news outlet, who also ranked the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business among the country’s top 50 undergraduate business programs.

Susan Anderson, professor of accounting in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, has been named to business education news outlet Poets & Quants’ “Top 50 Undergraduate Professors” list for 2018.

Poets & Quants editors selected the list of professors based on nominations from students.

The outlet notes students highlighted Anderson for her service learning approach involving preparing tax returns for local citizens, as well as her passion for inspiring curiosity inside the classroom.

“Dr. Anderson takes the time to mentor undergraduate researchers and foster analytical thinking about accounting across a variety of areas such as state taxation and student empathy,” wrote a student in her nomination letter. “Dr. Anderson has excelled in her profession, standing out as an educator, researcher and civil servant.”

Earlier this year, Anderson was recognized as Elon’s Gerald Francis Outstanding Education of the Year as well as the Beta Alpha Psi Business Information Professional of the Year.
