Darby offers insights for EdTech article on K-12 classrooms 

An article by the educational technology publication that looked at the use of flexible seating cited previous analysis by Alexa Darby, professor of psychology.

Insights from Professor of Psychology Alexa Darby were included in a recent article on the use of flexible seating arrangements in K-12 classrooms. 

The article appeared in educational technology publication EdTech, citing analysis from Darby about the role of the instructional climate in the classroom. That analysis originally appeared in a piece Darby penned for the National Education Association.

“One cannot have a community of learners without having a positive instructional climate,” Darby wrote in her original analysis. “Instructors help to create this climate by everything that they do, from the way they respond to student questions to the arrangement of the classroom chairs.”
