Elon BFA acting alums join television shows as series regulars

BFA acting alums Julian Elijah Martinez and Mark St. Cyr will have recurring roles in two separate TV series that will begin airing in late 2019 and early 2020.

Elon alums Julian Elijah Martinez ’09 and Mark St. Cyr ’10 have both landed  regular roles on two new TV series set to air in late 2019 and early 2020.

Fresh off the heels of making his Broadway debut in Network, starring opposite Bryan Cranston, Martinez is set for the new Hulu Original Series Wu-Tang: An American Saga. The 10-episode drama will follow the story of the infamous music group, and Martinez will portray Divine, group frontman RZA’s older brother.

St. Cyr will be in the new Disney High School Musical TV series, which will air in late 2019 on Disney’s new streaming service. St. Cyr will play Mr. Mazzara, the school’s resident robotic S.T.E.M. teacher who often butts heads with drama teacher, Miss Jenn. St. Cyr recently has been in guest star roles on Law & Order, Chicago P.D. and Royal Pains.
