Rip_Chord releases new music video for 'Let's Hurt Tonight'

The cover of the One Republic hit is the first single to be released from the all-male a capella group's album "Speakeasy."

Rip_Chord, an all-male a capella group at Elon, has released a music video for its cover of One Republic's "Let's Hurt Tonight."

The song is the first single to be released from "Speakeasy," the group's 17-song album that will be available this fall. The video was produced by Bella Branham, Siobhan Langaas and Caroline Connolly, all members of the Class of 2020. The video includes shots from Gibsonville and several apartments and houses in Elon.

Michael Reed-Price, music director for Rip_Chord, noted that "we got lucky that it poured on one of our filming days in Gibsonville, adding an emotional element as we stood there soaking our blazers." Playing the female lead in the video was Maggie Brown, a member of the Elon all-female a capella group Sweet Signatures.
