The Sports Broadcasting class in the School of Communications covered the Elon Phoenix home men's soccer match against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Oct. 26. The event was seen live on ElonPhoenix.com via uStream, and it will be rebroadcast on Channel 14 on campus during the next week.

Senior Conor O’Neill, sophomore Scarlett Fakhar, a midfielder on Elon’s womens soccer team, and graduate student Taylor Williams handled the announcing duties with junior Aaron Moger producing and junior Andrew Tilden directing.

This event was the second of two live events produced by the Sports Broadcasting class, which also produced the Oct. 8 volleyball game between Elon and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

In the Sports Broadcasting class, students learn the structure, strategies and techniques of sports broadcasting, which serve the dual role of journalism and entertainment. It’s taught by Max Negin, an assistant professor in the School of Communications.
