Lucinda Austin publishes article in Public Relations Review

Lucinda Austin, an assistant professor in the School of Communications, recently co-authored an article about how public relations ethics is taught internationally.

Austin is the first author of the article, titled “Exploring ethics education in global public relations curricula: Analysis of international curricula descriptions and interviews with public relations educators,” which she wrote with a colleague from the University of Maryland.

The manuscript’s abstract says the study “explores global public relations curriculum and how educators
from other countries discuss ethics education. … Educators suggested a cultural approach to ethics education as different ethical norms and standards apply.”

Austin joined the School of Communications faculty this semester and teaches courses in public relations.
