Brad Linde ’01 receives D.C. Mayor’s Arts Award

Brad Linde '01, a music major and jazz studies minor while at Elon, was honored Sept. 14 at the 27th-annual Washington, D.C., Mayor's Arts Awards with an Outstanding Emerging Artist Award.

He received the award for his work with the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra, D.C.’s resident big band which he co-founded and now directs with Joe Herrera.

The Mayor’s Arts Award is the highest honor conferred by the District of Columbia in recognition of artistic excellence and service among artists, arts organizations, and arts patrons in the city. Read more about the event and awards.
