2012 Intramural Moot Court champions announced

Fourteen students were selected to join the law school’s Moot Court Board after the Fifth Annual Elon Law Intramural Moot Court Competition. David Lambert and Christian Robin won the final round of the competition held on October 1.

The final round of the competition was judged by the Honorable Robert H. Edmunds, Jr., an associate justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court; the Honorable Ralph A. Walker, a retired associate judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals; and the Honorable James L. Gale, a special Superior Court judge for complex business cases in the North Carolina Business Court.

Jennifer Bobowski and Patrick Ward were the first-runner up team and won the competition’s “Best Team Brief” award. Robin was named “Best Oralist from the Final Round,” and Kaalil Muhammad was named “Best Oralist from the Preliminary Rounds.”

The top 14 competitors were invited to join the Moot Court Board. Those students include: Brandon Blalock, Jennifer Bobowski, Kristen DelForge, Suzi Haynes, Benjamin Kempton, David Lambert, Wade Love, Ryan Moffitt, Kaalil Muhammad, Annie Murphy, Christian Robin, Cameron Thompson, Patrick Ward and Ben Woody.

The competition was organized by Associate Dean for Administration, Associate Professor of Law, and Director of the Moot Court Program, Alan Woodlief and current Moot Court Board members who serve on the competition committee. The competition committee included: Chair John Warren, Sarah Boshears, Jennifer Crissman, Gwendolyn Lewis and Jenifer McCrea.
