Elon staffer uses home Halloween display to raise money for charity

Jimmy Curiazza, who oversees plumbing operations at Elon University, is again turning an outdoor lighting display at his Gibsonville home into a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The show at 50 Bent Tree Court, about two miles from campus, runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. every night through Saturday, Nov. 3, with extended hours on Halloween night.

The Halloween display is set to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Curiazza’s efforts honor his late brother, Dean, who died from childhood leukemia during the 1967 Christmas season.

Curiazza and his family used a holiday theme last year to raise money for the same cause. They request this year that visitors try to limit vehicle traffic in the neighborhood on Halloween night due to pedestrians.
